In some phones such as Honer 8 pro the secondary camera is used as wide angle sensor. In that phone it has two Pixel Sensors, one is RGB sensor and another is One Monochrome Sensor. The monochrome sensor gives more details to the picture and it give more sharpness and clarity.In this mobile the software of the phone connect two images which is taken by both two cameras. So we get a super clear picture.

In LG G5 mobile the secondary camera acts as wide angle sensor. It  helped to take wide angle images. The normal mobiles gives a 70' angle picture. But this one gives 150' angle picture that means you can take a picture with  large area coverable.
