Well that was fast. Just two days ago we reported that HTC U11 models everywhere would receive 1080p 60 fps video recording capabilities in the next couple months. I didn't expect the update to start rolling out so quickly, but apparently HTC has already flipped the switch on the update, at least for the Taiwan model.

The update, which comes with build number 1.26.709.3, weighs 624.59 MB and brings the July 2017 Android security patch, as well as "important enhancements and bug fixes."

The biggest news here though is the addition of 1080p 60 fps video recording, which means you'll see 60 rendered frames per second that will result in

much smoother video. The U11 already features 30 and 120 fps recording out of the box, which means this phone is now basically a slow motion-capturing powerhouse.

Unfortunately today's update doesn't bring the rumored Bluetooth 5 support, though HTC did confirm to us that that update is in the works. We still don't have a timeframe for when that update will roll out, however.

As of right now we're not sure when HTC plans to roll out these new video enhancements to other models, but we'll be sure to let you know once we hear anything.
