It speaks of initial quotes, final trade-in quotes, and more. It looks like you'll have 30 calendar days to send in your trade-in device after you buy your new phone.

Interestingly enough, you'll have the option to have your device returned to you if the initial quote is higher than the final value. If you do decide to go through with the trade-in, you'll be able to receive your credit in the form of a credit to your original form of payment, a store or service credit for usage in the Google Store, a Google Play credit, or any combination of those methods.
