We are currently reviewing the Meizu Pro 7 Plus and we just couldn't miss the opportunity to tease you with some posts about it. That's why we took it for a spin with some competitors and the samples are now in.
Daylight camera comparison: Meizu Pro 7 Plus vs. Nokia 8 vs. Galaxy S8 vs. LG G6 vs. iPhone 7 Plus vs. Huawei P10
As expected, the Galaxy S8 has the punchiest colors, while the LG G6 excels in resolved detail. The Meizu Pro 7 Plus is on par with the Huawei P10 with excellent amount of resolved detail, dynamic range, and even color rendition. Its samples are less sharp than LG's and Samsung's but that's hardly an issue. The Nokia 8 is produces very similar pictures, too, but a bit sharper. The iPhone has the dullest colors and the least amount of resolved detail, but is not far behind.

Low-light camera comparison: Meizu Pro 7 Plus vs. Nokia 8 vs. Galaxy S8 vs. LG G6
We used the opportunity to put the Meizu Pro 7 Plus against the Nokia 8, Galaxy S8 and LG G6 while we were shooting our regular low-light samples.
The Galaxy S8 and the LG G6 have wider apertures (f/1.7 and f/1.8 respectively) than the Meizu Pro 7 Plus and the Nokia 8 (f/2.0) and thus were expected to perform better in low light.
The Galaxy S8 bested the other two in every scene, with the LG G6 following closely behind. The Nokia 8 did quite well though not as great as the S8 and G6. The Meizu Pro 7 Plus benefits from multi-frame stacking in low-light, so it gave its best. Its images came out soft, but they don't lack in detail. The Meizu's camera omits OIS though, so it shoots at higher ISO than the rest and its samples are noisier.
