Huawei took a not-so-subtle shot at Apple with its latest video posted on Facebook. It basically makes fun of the iPhone X's facial recognition feature that failed twice during its first demo at Apple's event last week. Huawei hasn't confirmed this, but the devices are scheduled to be unveiled on October 16, so it's probably a safe bet. Both devices will be powered by the Kirin 970 chipset revealed at IFA 2017, which has built-in AI computing capabilities. The AI platform runs on a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which is basically a piece of hardware that is very good at running neural networks.
