To not wonder if the 6th business information and many are turning to mobail smartphone. With Android which thoroughly dominated the mobile industry, choosing the best Android smartphone is almost identical to choose the best smartphone, period. But while Android phones have few real opponents on other platforms, internal competition is intense.
One of the more user-facing features available in Android 8.0 Oreo is support for adaptive icons, which allow the shape of launcher icons to be changed across the whole operating system. For instance, if a smartphone manufacturer wants to make all its icons square, circular, or teardrop shaped, they now can much easier than ever before.
However, not many devices are running Android Oreo yet, so it'll be quite some time before older devices get to take advantage of adaptive icons. To help speed up the process, Chris Lacy has introduced a new update to Action Launcher that brings adaptive icon support thanks to an all-new companion app called AdaptivePack.
AdaptivePack is an icon pack-styling app that lets Action Launcher display adaptive icons on all smartphones running Lollipop or later. And if you happen to be on Oreo, the app will even provide adaptive icons for apps that don't officially support them yet.
This isn't your normal icon pack though — AdaptivePack will only work with Action Launcher, so you won't be able to use it with any other third-party launchers. Read the FAQ to learn more.
A lot of work went into this companion app, so naturally it's gong to cost you a few bucks. For this week only, AdaptivePack is available in the Play Store for $3.49 and will later bump up to its normal $4.99 price tag.
Alongside the release of AdaptivePack, Action Launcher is getting an update to version 28 which features a brand new icon picker, improved compatibility when running on Android 8 Oreo, and more.
