According to 9to5Google, OnePlus said the OnePlus 5 Oreo beta program would be launched within the next two weeks via the OnePlus forums — its usual home of updates — and this will be followed by a rollout in "early 2018." The beta will also be open to anybody who wishes to install the software on their device.

OnePlus has chosen not to publicly specified a date for the update as it did last year with Nougat, when it only narrowly met its December 31 deadline, and it's probably a wise decision; adding unnecessary pressure hurry out the update could result in poor performance or potentially letting down fans.
