HTC's President of Smartphone and Connected Devices Business, Chialin Chang, has resigned. HTC announced the move on its investors page earlier today and it's effective immediately, though Chang's successor is yet to be named.

Chang joined HTC as its Chief Financial Officer in 2012 before becoming the smartphone and connected devices president in 2016. HTC's website lists Chang's reason for leaving as "personal career path," while reports suggest he plans to launch an AI startup later this year.
