While the iOS favorite has technically hit Android devices in the past thanks to a Humble Bundle offer, today marks Lost Socks' debut on the Play Store. Unlike previous incarnations, the version on offer is free-to-play with optional in-game microtransactions (up to $15.99).

Most auto-runner games stick to a fairly simple control scheme, but Lost Socks adds a little more variety to the mix. As well as a standard jump, you can inflate your head to float for a short time to avoid obstacles. There's also a dash attack for smashing open crates and through hazards.
Each stage is littered with hordes of enemies, but thankfully your cotton-based avatar isn't unarmed. Most of the bad dudes will go down with a blast from your regular machine gun, but if you're in a tight spot you can whip out a more powerful rechargeable cannon.
