As a quick refresher, the Moto Z2 Force features an all-metal unibody build constructed from ultra-tough aluminium for extra durability.

It also offers Moto Mod support such as the aforementioned Moto TurboPower case which adds a further 3490 mAh of battery power to the existing 2,730 mAh cell.

The Moto Z2 Force sports a 5.5-inch P-OLED display with a protective "Shattershield" and a 1440 x 2560 resolution, a front-facing fingerprint sensor, and a 12 MP + 12 MP dual-camera on the rear (f/2.0 aperture).

The phone is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. Motorola has been gradually rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update via certain carriers in the US, but a global rollout is expected in the coming months. For more on the Moto Z2 Force, be sure to check out our full review in the video below.

It's worth noting that Motorola has recently come under fire from some Z2 Force users over a peeling issue with the Shattershield layer. Its decision to charge owners for necessary repairs hasn't gone down well, however, it remains to be seen how widespread the problem is.

We'll be keeping a close eye on the launch event and will bring you pricing and availability details as soon as we have them.
