As great as the Google Pixel and Pixel XL are, the phones aren't immune to issues. Unfortunately for Google, one of those issues led to a class-action complaint filed against the company.
In the complaint, a group of Pixel owners allege that their phones had microphone problems from the beginning. They also allege that Google knowingly sold defective Pixel and Pixel XL units, with some warranty replacements also having problems.
According to Fast Company, the plaintiffs did not replace their phones within their respective warranty periods.
Behind the lawsuit is Girard Gibbs LLP, the same law firm that might file a lawsuit against Google over Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL issues. Girard Gibbs was also behind a lawsuit against LG over bootloop issues that affected several of the company's flagship smartphones.

The problem affected enough people for Google to take it seriously, though the only course of action was to contact the company for a replacement.
Hardware defects have been a thorn in Google's side for over two years. Strangely enough, this is not the only complaint filed against Google in the same day. A Project Fi customer sued Google for allegedly being overcharged for cellular data service.
Google has not yet issued a statement on both complaints.
