Oppo It's barely been five months since the launch of the selfie-centric Oppo F5, but the Chinese OEM is already preparing to launch its apparent predecessor. The F7 is expected to arrive later this month, but ahead of launch Oppo has shared several teaser images which show off the upcoming device's full-screen display and – you guessed it – an iPhone X-style notch.
The six images were shared by the Oppo Mobile India Twitter account which also talked up the phone's "Super Full Screen" display. The F7 is expected to feature a 6.2-inch panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2280 x 1080.
The high screen-to-body ratio – rumored to be 89.09% – and minimal bezel space also means the F7 will feature gesture control.
Oppo's sister firm, OnePlus, recently implemented iPhone X-esque gesture-based navigation for the OnePlus 5T and it seems likely that the F7's control functions will be very similar.
The original F5's focus on AI-led Beauty modes is also expected to make a return as AI Beauty 2.0. The system will reportedly utilize a 25 megapixel selfie camera, as well as HDR and AI technologies to tailor its beauty settings for individual faces. AR stickers have also been rumored.
The Oppo F7 officially debuts on March 26th in India, so we won't have to wait for too long to hear more on pricing, availability and the phone's full specs.
The F7 isn't the only upcoming Oppo device expected adopt the notch – the P15 series has also been shown with a display bump.
