Meizu doesn't have much of a presence outside of Asia and some parts of Europe, but it is still the eleventh-largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. According to Ard Boudeling, the head of global marketing at Meizu, the company is working with Google to release an Android Go phone.

Boudeling posted the tweet below to announce the development of the as-yet-unnamed device:

Android Headlines reached out to Meizu about this Android Go device to get more information. The company confirmed that the device is under development and would likely see release in 2018.
