While it still holds the title of top smartphone maker globally, Xiaomi is actually the number one smartphone manufacturer in India right now, after knocking Samsung to second place in the fourth quarter of 2017.
Xiaomi held onto the number one spot in the first quarter of 2018, as well. That means Samsung is going to have to fight hard to get back to the number one position.
