Otherwise, we see two other Nokia X6-inspired features in the form of a vertically stacked dual camera setup and a rear fingerprint scanner.
Specs aren't known just yet, but it's reasonable to expect the Nokia 5.1 Plus to slot in between the vanilla Nokia 5.1 and the Nokia X6. The standard 5.1 offers a MT6755S chipset, 2GB to 3GB of RAM, and 16GB to 32GB of expandable storage. Meanwhile, the X6 delivers a capable Snapdragon 636 chipset, 4GB/6GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of expandable storage and a 16MP/5MP dual camera pairing.
News of a supposed Nokia 5.1 Plus comes almost a month after HMD launched the China-only X6. However, the company later ran a Twitter poll, asking users whether they want a wider release.
