Google Pixel 3 turquoise

  • Google Japan has hinted at three potential Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL colorways.
  • Black, white, and turquoise variants are all teased.
  • Only the turquoise model is technically new as we've already seen the other two in previous leaks.

Believe it or not, there are still some things we don't know about the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. It isn't a lot, sure, but after all of the myriad leaks it's good to know there might be a few surprises left in store when the phones are revealed on October 9.

Unfortunately, it seems like the available colorways for Google's third-gen flagships won't be among those surprises, as a teaser page from Google Japan (via 9to5Google), which is still live at time of writing, has shown off three potential color variants for the upcoming Pixel range.

Editor's Pick

The interactive page shows what is almost certainly the husk of a Pixel phone from a rear angle. The familiar two-tone finish with a smaller top 'window' and the placement of the "G" symbol are both dead giveaways.

If you head to the page and

click on said logo, the image will cycle through three different shades, beginning with a white/grey shade, then a black finish (both below), and finally a turquoise colorway (above). Based on Google's habit for prosaic color names, I'm guessing that latter will be called Totally Turquoise or something along those lines.

While the black version is pretty standard, the other two are a little more interesting. Both models feature by a bright green internal border, but there's a good chance this is referencing the color of the power button (which we've already seen with a similar coat of paint in leaks) and not an actual outline we'll see on the final product.

At this point we don't know which colors will be available for each Pixel 3 model. We've previously seen the Pixel 3 XL in both black and white in oh so many, many leaks, as well as the regular Pixel 3 in black. We'll no doubt get all the details on October 9.

What do you make of these potential colorways? Let us know in the comments.
