With Android which thoroughly dominated the mobile industry, choosing the best Android smartphone is almost identical to choose the best smartphone, period. But while Android phones have few real opponents on other platforms, internal competition is intense.

Welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Plan Spotlight. There were a few interesting phone plans this week, so we chose two of the most compelling for your perusal.
Plan 1: Free LG V30 from AT&T
The LG V30 has a price tag of $799.99, but if you're willing to link up to AT&T for a while, you can get one for free.
The requirement on your part is that you sign up for either the AT&T Next or Next Every Year plan, which commits you to AT&T for 30 or 24 months, respectively.

As usual, this deal applies after bill credits. You buy the phone in installments — which are $26.67 per month on the Next plan — and within three bill cycles they start reimbursing you via bill credits. As long as you stay the life of the contract, you'll get your full $800 back.
This deal doesn't apply to upgrades, and it's online only. There are a few more bits and pieces of fine print too, so take the time to have a read before signing up. What is for sure is that you get a free LG V30, and the plans are fairly affordable.

Plan 2: Half-price Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Sprint
Everyone loves a half-price deal, and it's especially satisfying when it applies to a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 worth $1,000. This deal isn't even a bill credit setup either. The kicker is that you have to sign up for the new Sprint Unlimited Premium Plan, which runs you $80 per month.
It's not cheap, but you're getting a pretty damn good plan for your money. We're talking unlimited everything, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Tidal, HD video streaming, and 50GB of 4G LTE mobile hotspot. Don't forget your half-price Note 9 of course.
The phone installments come to $20.83 per month, meaning your total bill will be just over $100 per month with the plan. For a top handset and plan to match, the button and widget below take you to the deal.
