LG Display is reportedly working with Lenovo on a tablet that will have a 13-inch foldable display. According to ETNews, LG Display will supply the tablet's panel, while Lenovo will manufacture the device.
The publication quotes an industry insider as saying that LG Display has signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with Lenovo and has officially started the project. It plans to supply the foldable display to Lenovo in the second half of next year, according to the source. The display will reportedly be an OLED panel that folds in half.
Anyone following the development of foldable displays will be aware that this is the first time we have heard of such a device being developed. Both Samsung and Huawei are reportedly working on foldable phones that can be used as small tablets when unfolded. However, these devices are expected to have displays that are around seven or eight inches — only slightly larger than the current generation of
