Update, October 30, 2018 (12:42PM EST): Old School Runescape is now up on the Play Store. The game weighs in at a little over 6MB, though there is likely more to download once you open the game for the first time.

Something to keep in mind is that, miraculously, you can still your old account if you remember your sign-in credentials. However, everyone starts fresh once you log in. That means character progression does not carry over.

Another neat feature is cross-platform play, which lets you share progress between your accounts on mobile and PC. Finally, Old School Runescape stays true to its name and features old-school visuals from the 17-year-old original game.

You can download Old School Runescape at the link below.

Runescape is an MMORPG that was first launched in 2001. Since then, the developer of the game, Jagex, has released countless updates, continued to add new quests, and even introduced a more modern version of the title while continuing to support the classic. After Jagex announced that both versions of Runescape would come to mobile more than a year ago, the company is finally launching Old School Runescape for Android on October 30.

As you can see from the screenshot

above, the game looks almost identical to its PC counterpart with the only difference being the placement of the various buttons. As Jagex built the game to be cross-platform compatible, the developer wanted players to have the same experience wherever they played Runescape.

Surprisingly, between several closed and member-only betas and soft launches in a handful of countries, Jagex has already had over 500,000 players on Android play Old School. Clearly, there is a strong demand for this game on mobile.

Jagex does state that Old School Runescape will only be available for Android devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop and above. As this isn't a graphically demanding game, I'd imagine any modern phone should be able to run it just fine.
