But as spotted by someone on Reddit (via Android Police), Google has brought 1440p60 HDR support to the Pixel 3 XL.
The news of the playback support for the Pixel 3 XL comes on the heels of Google bringing back the 1440p60 HDR playback option to some Samsung flagship smartphones such as the
Unfortunately, Google doesn't appear to have retroactively brought 1440p60 support to the Pixel 2 XL. This doesn't mean that the search giant sometime in the future. And, of course, the smaller Pixel 3 is limited to 1080p60 HDR as the phone's display only supports 1080p playback.
