LG G7 Review-10

  • LG has begun Android Pie testing for LG G7 ThinQ users.
  • This could mean the LG G7 ThinQ get its first major update far earlier in its release cycle than the LG G6 did.
  • LG opened a new software update center earlier this year.

LG G7 ThinQ users in Korea are now able to test out an early build of Android Pie. LG opened up its Pie preview program in the region earlier today, but it's currently restricted to Korea.

Korea G7 ThinQ owners can sign up for the preview through the Quick Help application on their phone. They can then download and install the update, and leave feedback about it in the app's forum. LG says this feedback will be considered when developing the final version of Pie.

The fact the Pie preview build is already being tested suggests LG G7 ThinQ users will not have to wait as long for the phone's first major OS update as LG G6 users did. LG began to roll out Oreo for the G6 in April 2018, around a year after it first released and eight months after Android Oreo launched.
