Xiaomi has announced a partnership with IKEA to bring its IoT platform to the retailer's smart products. Donovan Sung, global spokesperson and director of product management at Xiaomi, tweeted that support will begin in December after an announcement at the company's AIOT Developers Conference in Beijing.

IKEA's products will integrate with both the Mi Home app and the Xiao AI assistant, allowing you to control them with your smartphone and your voice. The integration will begin in December, though we don't know how it will roll out.

Xiaomi itself is no stranger to smart home products, it has a wealth of them in its online store, while this isn't IKEA's first rodeo either.
