A few weeks after a new Call of Duty mobile game soft-launched in a few territories, Activision is expanding its popular gaming franchise with yet another smartphone game.  The new title is Call of Duty: Legends of War and was quietly announced with an official Facebook page (via Dexerto). So far, the game has been confirmed to only be available for download in Australia via the Google Play Store.

The game that soft-launched a few weeks ago, Call of Duty: Global Operations, is a top-down strategy MMO title. However, the new Call of Duty: Legends of War title is a true first-person shooter, like the main console and PC games that have been released in this long-running series. Activision is developing this game with China-based Tencent.

The game's Facebook page offers up a lot of information on Call of Duty: Legends of War. It states the game includes online multiplayer, with support for 5v5 player matches, along with gameplay modes like Team Deathmatch, Frontline, and more. You can play in mobile versions of classic Call of Duty console and PC maps, including Nuketown, and you can even take on the roles of Call of Duty's well-known fictional characters like Price and Ghost.

Along with the multiplayer modes, Call of Duty: Legends of War also includes its own take on the franchise's highly popular Zombie gameplay. In this mode, players will be able to go on solo missions to defeat the undead, or on co-op missions with online friends. As this is a mobile game, players can level up their characters with new skills, perks, weapons, and items, and you can customize the look of your player character by purchasing in-game items as well.

Based on the Facebook description, Call of Duty: Legends of War is still in early development, so we may not see a global launch of this game for some time. We are also still waiting for yet another Call of Duty mobile game that's under development at Activision's King studio. King, best known for their Candy Crush games, first revealed they were working on a Call of Duty mobile game in April 2017.
