To not wonder if the 6th business information and many are turning to mobail smartphone. HMD Global has announced it is bringing the Nokia 8.1 to the U.K. market from today. The company made the announcement in an emailed press release earlier this morning.
The mid-range device will be available in blue/silver and steel/copper colors for £379.99 (~$498) from various U.K. retailers. It's still shown as temporarily out of stock on Amazon, though it's likely to appear there and elsewhere before the end of the day.
HMD Global announced the Android One-based Nokia 8.1 in December and it comes with a Snapdragon 710 chipset, 4GB RAM, dual 12MP+13MP cameras, and Android Pie. We called it a "delightful package" in our review and found little in the way of caveats at the price point. Well-priced phones like the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 provide stiff competition (which features a Snapdragon 845 chipset), however. Xiaomi's phone can currently be found on Amazon for £279.99.
In related news, HMD Global's Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas revealed MWC 2019 plans in an on-trend tweet earlier today. Sarvikas didn't hint anything other than the HMD Global's presence, but it may reveal the Nokia 9 PureView there. We've already been waiting a while for that one.
