If you pay for the basic subscription tier of streaming service Hulu, you're going to see some new ad placements soon. Starting this Spring, you will see static advertisements when you pause a stream, via Engadget.

This reveal comes just after Hulu announced that it will drop the entry-level subscription price for the service by two dollars starting in February. The new price will be $5.99 per month. However, Hulu also raised the price for its highest-end tier — Hulu (No Ads) + Live TV — significantly from $43.99 to $50.99 per month.

The various price changes come on the back of Netflix announcing it will raise prices soon for all its subscription tiers.
