The Huawei P30 Lite render according to a South African retailer. Cellucity

The Huawei P30 series has been announced, and we know all about the flagship devices. The company didn't announce the P30 Lite at the event though, but a new website listing shows it is indeed coming.

South African smartphone retailer Cellucity has listed the device on its website (h/t: Popular Mechanics South Africa), so what should you expect? For starters, the store lists a 6-inch display, mid-range Kirin 710 chipset (no Kirin 65X series, thankfully), 4GB RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage.

Cellucity's listing also notes a triple rear camera setup, but it claims a 20MP+16MP+2MP setup. A company spokesperson later confirmed to Android Authority that the device actually offered a 24MP+8MP+2MP rear camera trio. This wouldn't be a surprise, as the Huawei Nova 4e offers a 24MP, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP depth sensor combination. And much like the P20 Lite was essentially the Nova 3e with a new name, it's believed that the P30 Lite is basically the Nova 4e in

disguise.

Editor's Pick

In terms of selfies, the retailer says you're looking at a 32MP snapper here, much like its more expensive stablemates. Other noteworthy details listed by the website and confirmed by the spokesperson include a 3,340mAh battery, USB-C connectivity, a 3.5mm audio port, and a fingerprint scanner (presumably a rear sensor).

The retailer's asking price is 5,499 rand (~$381), which is roughly in line with the P20 Lite's local pricing. The P30 Lite will be available in Midnight Black and Peacock Blue via the retailer. The spokesperson added that the phone is now available to buy online and in-store purchases will be available from Thursday. What do you think of the Huawei P30 Lite? Drop a comment below!
