For Swiss carrier Sunrise, 5G is quickly becoming a reality. On Tuesday, Sunrise announces that it will begin offering three 5G smartphones from three different Chinese phone makers starting this week. Xiaomi first announced the 5G Mi Mix 3 back in February during its MWC conference in Barcelona. It’s the same slider phone that was first announced last October, but with an updated Snapdragon 855 to support the Qualcomm X50 5G modem.

It announced partnerships with various carriers around the EU including Three, Orange, Telefonica, TIM, Vodafone, and Sunrise, which is the first to get the handset. Xiaomi also announced a launch time frame in May, so we anticipate more of the aforementioned carriers getting the 5G-compatible Xiaomi device as soon as this month.
