As expected Intel fully unveiled its 10th Gen Ice Lake processors today at Computex 2019, alongside a few other announcements.

The new Ice Lake processors are built around the 10nm process, sporting up to four cores and eight threads. Ice Lakes chips offer an 18% increase in IPC (instruction per cycle) over Skylake, thanks to the new Sunny Cover cores.

Another major focus is graphics improvement with the new Gen11 graphics engine, which is supposed to offer 2x performance increase. lineup is focused on notebooks with U and Y variants that offer ranges between 9 and 25W TDP.

While Ice Lake was the biggest announcement from Intel, the company also announced 9th-gen Intel Core VPro processors for mobile and desktop, which are built with business users in mind. More exciting, Intel also unveiled its plan for Core-X chips that are designed with creatives in mind. These processors will offer improved speeds and the new Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0, which lets more than two cores boost up to max clock speeds.

Lastly, Intel talked about its Project Athena initiative, which is about creating a standard for partners to follow regarding things like getting 16 hour (or better) battery life, improved responsiveness, and faster wake times.
