The video teaser, which you can see below, strongly hints that a Minecraft AR app or game will launch on May 17 at the game's official site.

In the (very poorly green-screened) video, a man accidentally takes someone else's smartphone with him when he leaves a park bench. The woman whose phone he took grabs his (likely a taped-over Samsung Galaxy S6 or S7) and notices that there are Minecraft characters both on the phone and suddenly in the real world.
