Starting tomorrow, May 17, Sprint will open pre-orders for the LG V50 ThinQ, which supports 5G service. It will also begin pre-orders for the HTC 5G Hub, a 5G-capable hotspot which will allow 4G LTE smartphones to access 5G networks via a Wi-Fi connection.
Both devices will hit certain Sprint stores on May 31.
However, the pre-orders and releases of these two devices will be exclusive to specific areas of the United States where Sprint's 5G network is active, namely Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, and Kansas City. In the coming weeks, the availability of the devices will expand to other areas, including Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C.
The LG V50 ThinQ will cost just $24 per month if purchased through a Sprint Flex lease. The HTC 5G Hub will cost just $12.50 per month. Use of the 5G Hub will cost consumers $60 per month for 100GB of high-speed data access.
