The carrier announced its plans in a press statement this week, revealing that next-generation connectivity will be available in seven cities at launch. The seven cities are Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, and London.
Vodafone also confirmed that 5G will be coming to 12 more cities before the end of the year. These cities are: Birkenhead, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Guildford, Newbury, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Reading, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Warrington, and Wolverhampton.

Vodafone says 5G will be priced the same as 4G connectivity. Furthermore, it will also deliver 5G roaming in the U.K., Germany, Italy, and Spain during summer.
Next-generation connectivity means next to nothing without phones, but Vodafone will offer the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, the Huawei Mate 20 X, and the Huawei Mate X.
The carrier isn't the first 5G network in the world, as we've already seen the standard launch in the likes of Korea, the U.S., and Switzerland. But the firm is definitely part of the first wave of adopters, with mass adoption only expected in 2020.
