Unlike Netflix, you can subscribe to HBO through a variety of online service providers including Hulu, Amazon App Store, Apple App Store, Google Play, Roku, and the list goes on.

How to cancel HBO Now through your provider

The first step is to figure out who you signed up through service through. You may already know this, but those that have had HBO Now for years might have forgotten exactly how it was set it up in the first place.

To check via the web:

1. Sign in to HBONow.com
2. Click settings in the upper right corner.
3. Immediately click Billing information.
4. A new screen will open and say "Your HBO Now subscription is billed through X."

To check via the app:

1. Open the HBO Now app.
2. Click on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner.
3. Click on settings, which is at the very bottom of the menu list.
4. From settings pick Billing Information.
5. You'll be presented with a new screen that says "Your HBO Now subscription is billed through X."

3. You'll now click "cancel subscription" which will open up a web page.
4. The new web page has an auto-renew switch that you'll need to toggle off and confirm.
5. That's it. It will tell you the last date your service is in affect and unless you go back in and pay it'll simply cancel itself.
