It seems Instagram has received positive feedback, hence, its parent Facebook may also start hiding the Like counts from the posts.
This information comes to us from reverse engineering expert Jane Wong who spotted this change in the source code of Facebook's Android app.

Facebook's Like-hiding feature works similarly to
Wong reports that the Like/Reaction count on the comments are visible, but that's probably because the feature is still under development.
Facebook has confirmed that it's considering removing the Like counts from posts but hasn't shared any information about the timeframe for the rollout.
