The Honor 9X is the latest entry in the company's budget-conscious "X" series. It features a triple-lens rear camera system — complete with a 48MP primary sensor — as well as a pop-up selfie camera that eliminates the need for a display notch.
The device launched in Russia earlier today and is now coming to other parts of Europe. The Honor 9X will soon be available from Honor's Netherlands website for €299. This is presumably how much the Honor 9X will cost in other parts of Europe, too.
The Honor 9X officially goes on sale on October 31 at 10:00 CEST/1:00 PT right here. During that time, Honor Netherlands will hold a flash sale and sell the device for just €199 for a limited time.
That price puts the phone in direct competition with devices such as the Xiaomi Mi 9T (£269), which also features a pop-up selfie camera. However, in our just-released review of the Honor 9X, we found its specs to be lacking in comparison with something like the Mi 9T, so it's hard to recommend.
The specs in the 9X aren't too big of an upgrade over the Honor 8X, which might have to do with the Huawei ban in the United States. It's possible Honor needed to keep the specs relatively the same in order to keep Google Mobile Service certification (the Honor 9X comes with Google apps pre-installed). Even the triple-lens camera system left a lot to be desired in our testing of the device, which is unfortunate.

However, there's no denying that the Honor 9X is a real looker. The X-shaped gradient design on the back is pretty stunning, and that notch-less display will certainly turn some heads.
In general, if you're a fan of Honor design you'll probably be happy with the Honor 9X. Just remember that there are other devices out there that might offer more bang for your buck.
