Earlier this week, T-Mobile announced it was firing up its nationwide 5G network. In the same announcement, T-Mobile mentioned it would begin selling two 5G supported smartphones starting on Friday, the OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren and the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G.
On Tuesday, a Twitter user reached out to @AskDes on Twitter, who manages T-Mobile’s social media content. @CDavisyo noticed that the T-Mobile listing lists Android 10 as the operating system for the new Samsung device and got confirmation that it isn't a mistake.
I CAN CONFIRM ✅ #Note10Plus5G DOES HAVE #Android 10 OOTB!
Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, which supports only mmWave 5G bands (between 24 and 100 GHz) the Note10+ 5G only works on 5G bands below 6 GHz. Next year’s flagships will be arriving with the newly unveiled Snapdragon 865, which will be able to support both Sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G. Whether the Galaxy S11 will actually be configured this way remains to be seen.
The Galaxy Note10+ 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and paired with the Qualcomm X55 Modem. There’s a large 6.8-inch Adaptive AMOLED screen with integrated Ultra Sonic fingerprint scanner. RAM is also maxed out at 12 GB with 256 GB of onboard storage and the unit is powered by a 4,300 mAh battery.
Both the OnePlus 7T Pro and Galaxy Note10+ 5G will go on sale at T-Mobile starting on December 6.
