The global beta release window for the P30 Lite, P20 series, and Mate 10 series is listed as March 2020. This means we're unlikely to see the stable release hit these phones before then.

What about the beta?

Huawei issued an EMUI 10 roadmap at IFA 2019, initially believed to be a stable update roadmap. But it turns out that we were looking at a roadmap for the beta release, according to 9to5Google. Here's when Western users can expect to get in on the EMUI 10 beta action.

  • November 2019 – P30, P30 Pro
  • December 2019 – Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 RS, Mate 20 X (4G), Honor 20, Honor View 20

  • Q2 2020 – Other models

The update features a better dark mode (including APIs for third-party developers), improved cross-device connectivity, and improved system animations. So it's not quite as big a leap as EMUI 9 was, but it's welcomed nonetheless.
