Update, May 6 2020 (3:17AM ET): Microsoft announced last month that Forza Street would be coming to Android (see the original article below), and the game has finally been launched on the platform.
Forza Street is a streamlined take on the racing formula, as players follow on-screen instructions to brake, accelerate, use nitro boosts, and more. The game also supports cross-save functionality with the PC version, allowing you to carry your progress and garage across platforms. You can download the game via the button below.
Original article, April 8 2020 (4:22AM ET): Microsoft announced earlier this year that Forza Street would be coming to Android, marking the first time the series has landed on smartphones.
Now, the Redmond company has announced a release date, noting that Forza Street is coming to Android and iOS on May 5. The company also confirmed that everyone who plays the game between May 5 and June 5 will receive a so-called Founder's Pack.
The Founder's Pack includes the 2017 Ford GT, as well as in-game credits and gold. Hopefully the game doesn't emphasize the latter aspects too much, as we've seen in other mobile racing games.
Microsoft also confirmed that Forza Street supports Xbox Live sign-in as well as cross-save functionality of sorts. The latter feature will allow you to bring your car collection from the PC version of the game, which is already out now.
Don't expect the full Forza experience here though, as Forza Street seems to be more of a quick-time event experience than a racing game like its predecessors. It seems like players aren't actually in control of their car beyond following on-screen instructions to brake, accelerate, pull away, and use nitro boosts.
In other words, people expecting a traditional racing game on Android will definitely be disappointed. Nevertheless, you can pre-register for Forza Street on the Play Store via the button below ahead of its release date.
