Welcome to another week's recap. Samsung took over the news reel the past week thanks to a series of Galaxy S21-related stories.

We saw a number of renders of the Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra, solidifying previous leaks and showing off all color options for the upcoming devices. The camera details of the future flagships also surfaced. All three will gain autofocus on their ultrawide cameras. Otherwise the sensors themselves appear unchanged - 12MP resolution, 13mm wide with 1.4µm-sized pixels from a 1/2.55-inch sensor.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra will have two 10MP zoom cameras - a 3x f/2.4 72mm and a 10x f/4.9 240mm periscope. The main camera will be the 108MP sensor with laser autofocus and improved light gathering abilities.

Samsung teased the arrival of the Galaxy S21 Ultra with S Pen support in January. In related news a report from Korea disproved the rumors that Samsung will be scrapping the Galaxy Note series in 2021. So far we've heard from a few different sources that the Galaxy Note would yield its Fall flagship spot to the Galaxy Z Fold. The news that Samsung will continue making the Galaxy Note is good indeed.

Xiaomi will be looking to clinch the bragging rights for the first Snapdragon 888 phone on the market. Rumor has it that the Xiaomi Mi 11 family will become official on December 29. Whether it will launch in all markets on the same date remains to be seen, but we are likely looking at Chinese exclusivity for at least a while.

We also learned the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will have a 6.76-inch 120Hz QHD+ display, 50MP primary camera, 5,000mAh battery and 55W charging.

Those were the key stories of the week. The full list is below. See you in a week!
