The Indian Redmi Twitter account made a big to-do over the whole event, posting the image below. Touting the sell-out as "the biggest sale ever in the history of India," Xiaomi is apparently trying to drum up publicity for its highly-anticipated smartphone.

Twitter users are not so easy to win over. A lot of users are pointing out the conspicuous comma in the Twitter image; after all, "3,00,000" is not a real number. Did Xiaomi mean 30,000 or 300,000? Obviously, selling 300,000 phones in less than 3 minutes is a much greater feat than 30,000.

The whole thing is powered by a massive 4,000 mAh battery and goes for 13,999 rupees ($215). There's also an upgraded version with 6 GB of RAM that costs 16,999 rupees ($261).
