Original story (1/25): After taking us through somewhat of a virtual scavenger hunt, Google confirmed that this year's Google I/O developer conference will take place from May 8 through May 10.
Just like the last two years, the search giant will return to the Shoreline Amphitheatre and its big tents. This means this will be the third straight year that Google's developer conference will be held outside. As such, expect Google to hand out plenty of sunscreen as it looks to further minimize any lingering growing pains.

From February 22 at 10:00am PST to February 27 at 5:00pm PST, you can submit your application for tickets. There is no guarantee you will be picked, since Google looks to use its ticket lottery system again.
If you are picked, make sure you have the scratch to attend. General admission tickets for last year's Google I/O went for $1,150, with academic tickets going for $375.
