A payment pre-authorization will be made on your payment method, but you will only be charged if you are selected. If you are among the unlucky, the pre-authorization will be released within seven days.

If you are selected, general admission tickets go for $1,150, while students and teachers pay $375.

Original story (1/25): After taking us through somewhat of a virtual scavenger hunt, Google confirmed that this year's Google I/O developer conference will take place from May 8 through May 10.

Just like the last two years, the search giant will return to the Shoreline Amphitheatre and its big tents. This means this will be the third straight year that Google's developer conference will be held outside. As such, expect Google to hand out plenty of sunscreen as it looks to further minimize any lingering growing pains.
