However, that has now changed. A new, unconfirmed report from XDA-Developers claims to have information on the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. The information comes from firmware files for the phones that have been allegedly secured by Twitter user @FunkyHuawei.

According to the firmware info, the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will both have the the Kirin 980 processor inside. That's the next-generation mobile chip from Huawei's in-house HiSilicon division. Previous rumors claim the Kirin 980 will be built using TSMC's
